General Funding Guidelines

The following general guidelines apply to funding activities through the Foundation:

• Organizations will be eligible for funding once during the Foundation's fiscal year (September 1st – August 31st).
• Organizations receiving funding for grants or scholarships must provide quarterly reports documenting the program progress towards designated metrics.
• The University of Phoenix Foundation does not fund individual sponsorships, endowments or capitol projects. While the Foundation supports these initiatives, funding limitations require a dedicated focus on those activities that tie more closely to our mission and vision.
• Organizations must submit a copy of their IRS determination letter verifying tax-exempt, public charity status with their request for funding. Requests will not be considered without this documentation.
• The Foundation supports organizations that do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, creed, national origin, disability, handicap, age, sexual orientation, marital status, veteran status or any other basis prohibited by law.
