Grant Funding Overview
The University of Phoenix Foundation funds requests for grants supporting research, program development, sponsorship and scholarship* programs that support the needs of 501(c)(3), tax-exempt, public charities whose missions are consistent with the Foundation’s mission.
The University of Phoenix Foundation generally awards the majority of its grant funding to non-profit organizations that have demonstrated the ability to create strong partnerships with other organizations, have the ability to impact a variety of communities, have a strong educational component as part of their mission, and have a constituency that is consistent with the target demographic of the University of Phoenix Foundation.
*Scholarship programs will be developed and administered through the appropriate 501(c)(3), tax-exempt, public charity. Scholarships should support students attending programs that are not currently available at University of Phoenix. If the programs are available at the University, the organization can request an in-kind scholarship donation through the University of Phoenix Educational Resource program versus a grant.
